Used Laptops
We love used laptops. There are so many great buys in the used equipment
market that its hard to determine the best. You can check out our favorite
Used Laptop dealer. I suggest that
before buying any used laptop you should ask yourself these questions:
-
What will I be using the laptop for?
-
Do I need a modem?
-
Do I need a NIC Card?
-
How much do I want to spend?
-
Can I find a laptop with the specs that
I need for my budget?
A good way to start is to check the minimum
requirements needed to run the software that you will be
using. What is the minimum processor speed, memory and
hard drive size required. Which operating system does
the software work with? Answer these questions and you
are close to the info you need.
Do I need a Modem?
Will you be dialing up to get on the
internet or will you be using a cable modem. You will
need a modem if you are dialing up via your phone line.
Do I need a NIC Card?
If you will be connecting to an home or
office network the answer is yes. Or if you are using
DSL or Cable modem to access the internet you will need a
NIC card.
What is my Budget?
Only you can answer this question.
Always remember that when purchasing a used laptop, what you
buy in processor speed and screen size is what you are stuck
with. It is not cost effective to think you can
upgrade either of these features on a used laptop. You
can, however, always add memory and a larger gig hard drive.
Does my budget match my needs?
This is something that you will have to
research. You can check prices at our favorite
used laptops dealer
or just do a search on
www.google.com .
Remember never shop price on used laptops.
Always weigh the differences in features and warranties
before jumping into a unit. |
